Godly Play with older adults, including those living with dementia

This project ran from Jan 2016 -Jan 2019. These resources are for storytellers who have completed the accredited 3 day training in Godly Play. They are to help adapt Godly Play with adults in a care setting, including those living with dementia. This could include care homes and dementia cafes and inter-generational groups in which people living with dementia are present.

Download the e-book by US Godly Play Trainer The Rev. Lois Howard: Using Godly Play with Alzheimer’s and Dementia Patients. Based on Lois’ years of experience with the Godly Play method and practice in facilities with people living with dementia.

Resources to help you as a reflective practitioner

Godly Play is person centred and because each care setting and each group of adults is unique there is no 'one size fits all'. The Reflective Evaluations are provided to help you reflect on your own practice as you ask the question 'How can I best serve the needs of the older people in this particular context?'
